There is a major impetus for scientific research in military and industrial complex in the aerospace industry.
This stressed the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on Wednesday in an interview to journalists after attending the "Arms and security-2014" exhibition, which is held at the same time with the International Aerospace Salon "Aviasvit XXI".
Oleksandr Turchynov noted that the exhibition displays many different systems of protection for the military, different types of body armour, armoured checkpoints, equipment for destroying unmanned flying vehicles, etc.
"The Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Internal affairs, and the National Guard can choose quality equipment to protect our military men", he claimed.
Oleksandr Turchynov drew attention to the need for serious preparation for conducting military actions in winter, noting that the exhibition displays different types of clothing, sleeping bags, etc.
In words of the Chairperson of the Parliament, "it is highly important" that "the lion's share of this equipment has been produced by enterprises of military and industrial complex of Ukraine, which now have opportunities for development".
"We should have the best weapons, the best security systems, and finally, a powerful army which will resist any aggressors", claimed the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada.
He informed that some equipment, particularly means for neutralizing unmanned flying vehicles, will be sent to the ATO area. "There are a few complexes which will be transferred to the ATO area from this exhibition, and they will help completely neutralize unmanned flying vehicles which Russian Armed Forces are using to aim fire", he claimed.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also said that control and monitoring over the use of funds during procurement for military needs and prevention of corruption in this sphere are the priority tasks.
"We shall completely exclude intermediaries, opportunities for "churning", and corruption. I believe that leading enterprises shall, together with the law-enforcement block, elaborate a technique which will provide maximum efficiency for using budget funds", he stressed.
Oleksandr Turchynov again emphasized that capacity of Ukrainian enterprises can provide our military men with everything necessary – clothes, military equipment, etc. Moreover, Oleksandr Turchynov claimed that increasing production of the necessary equipment for our Armed Forces will promote development of respective technologies as well as creating new jobs.
"All enterprises which are ready to provide practical results will be given orders. We need to have real air defense systems and winter clothes", claimed the Chairperson of the Parliament. "We have no time to wait".
