On September 16, the President of Ukraine has to refer the EU
Association Agreement to the Parliament. Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said this in an interview with “Fokus” magazine, released on Thursday.

According to him, ratification will not be delayed in the Verkhovna Rada. “There are enough votes for ratification. As far as I know, the President has to refer the EU Association Agreement for ratification to the Verkhovna Rada and the Parliament will immediately vote on this issue,” said Oleksandr Turchynov.
“As explained by President Poroshenko, he has agreed with the European Parliament on simultaneous ratification. In no case, have we the right to further delay ratification,” he added.
