It was mentioned that the Committee held two parliamentary hearings:
on June 4, 2014 parliamentary hearings entitled "Education, healthcare and social insurance of children with psychophysical disabilities: problems and their solutions" were held;
on July 2, 2014 parliamentary hearings entitled "On status and legislative support of developing science and technical and scientific sphere of the country" were held.
The Committee prepared for the second reading the Law "On High Education", adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on July 1, 2014.
The Parliament also adopted the following laws submitted by the Committee: the Law "On amendments to several laws of Ukraine on education re organization of inclusive education" (No. 1324-VIІ of 05.06.2014) and the Law "On amendments to the laws of Ukraine "On Education" and "On Mobilizational Preparation and Mobilization" (No. 1324-VIІ of 03.07.2014).
During the meeting, the Committee also considered and recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt as a basis and in entirety the draft law on amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine (in connection with adopting the Law "On High Education") (Reg. No. 4542а).
Moreover, information of the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine on adhering to the current legislation of Ukraine re organizing the beginning of a new 2014/2015 school year was granted a hearing to.
