The Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the draft Resolution on securing unhindered media activity in the pre-election period of early elections of the people’s deputies of Ukraine on October 26, 2014

Under the bill (Reg. No. 4549a), the government has to take measures to stop inspections at mass media for the period of pre-election campaign on the part of the respective bodies of executive power and state institutions.

It is also planned to recommend the State Fiscal Service and the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council to cancel the schedule of inspections at mass media, as well as at television and radio organizations for the period of pre-election campaign.
