The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “On amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re converting garden cottages and country houses into residential dwellings and registering them as dwelling places”

The legislative act determines the order of conversion of garden cottages and country houses into residential dwellings; specify the notion of “place of residence of natural person”; and adjusts provisions of the Land Code regarding construction of country houses on recreational land plots, etc.

The law stipulates supplementing the Housing Code with article 8-1 “Conversion of garden cottages and country houses into residential dwellings” and amend the Civil Code and the Law “On Freedom of Movement and Free Choice of the Place of Residence in Ukraine”.

The respective bill was registered under No. 2336а.
