The bill (Reg. No. 4359а) suggests establishing legal and organizational bases of the procedure of lustrating the authorities from persons determined in this bill in order to strengthen the rule of law, lawfulness, and fight against corruption.
The bill aims at restoring trust in the authorities and creating conditions for developing a new system of government in compliance with the European standards.
To reach this aim, the bill suggests introducing a verification procedure when deciding whether to appoint a person, as a subject of verification, to a governmental position; and organizing a procedure verifying the compliance of persons, as subjects of verification, with the bill's criteria.
