The bill (Reg. No. 4269a) suggests establishing an annual additional 10-calendar day paid vacation for employed parents for taking care of persons disabled from childhood of group I, subgroup A, and an unpaid vacation for a term, determined in a medical conclusion, until a 6-year old or an older disabled child of subgroup A reaches the age of eighteen.
Respective amendments are to be made to articles 83 and 182-1 of the Labour Code of Ukraine and articles 4, 5 and 19 of the Law "On Vacations".
In the Law "On State Support for Families with Children", the document suggests regulating the issue of continuing child benefit payments until a child reaches the age of three.
According to the Committee members, adoption of the bill will allow improve social protection of families with disabled children of subgroup A and persons disabled from childhood of group I, subgroup A.
