Committee members considered the letters of the Head of the Council of
Judges V.Simonenko, Head of the State Court Administration Z.Kholodniuk and Head
of the Council of Judges of Administrative Courts M.Kobylianskyi regarding the
problems connected with financing of the judicial branch. Agreeing with the necessity to secure proper funding of the judicial branch on the part of the state, Committee members took the decision to address the President of Ukraine P.Poroshenko with a request to consider the existing situation in connection with non-administration of the oath on the part of persons appointed to the posts of judges at the courts of general jurisdiction; to the Prime Minister of Ukraine A.Yatseniuk with a request to take measures to prevent reduction of budgetary allocations for the courts of general jurisdiction; and to the Chair of the Budgetary Committee Ye.Hieller with a request to uphold standing of the judicial branch to prevent reduction of budgetary allocations for the courts of general jurisdiction in the course of considering amendments to the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2014”.
