While communicating with journalists, Oleksandr Turchynov stressed that “the new “RADA-4” system should provide the people’s deputies with all the information necessary for productive adoption of responsible decisions.” Thereat, he underlined that this system will not allow the people’s deputies to vote for each other or leave the workplace in the course of voting.

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that the entire world is moving into a new quality of information society. According to him, “if Ukraine continues living “the same old way”, - we won’t be able to look to the future and withstand the challenges our country faces.”

“Despite the continuing aggression against our country, we will withstand and win,” he noted, saying that he shall address the Government so that the issue of budget cutting had nothing to do with innovations that secure our progress into the future. “Since the quality of decision making, that our country’s destiny rests on, will depend on such voting system,” explained Chairperson of the Parliament.

However, Oleksandr Turchynov expressed hope that, possibly, the new “RADA-4” system will be introduced prior to a new winter session. “The existing “RADA” system is worn out,” he said, adding that it has been operating for more than ten years already.

In their turn, scientists stressed that this is the cheapest project that does not require reconstruction of the entire session hall, and informed that they need “a maximum of five months” to introduce the new voting system.

He reminded that irrespective of the fact whether the document is considered or no, it should be referred to parliamentarians for inspection.
