The Interim Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on auditing the use of funds transferred by the citizens of Ukraine in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and expenditures of the State Budget of Ukraine aimed to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations (IIC) deems that part of expenditures directed to the army should be used to renew not only weapons and protective means, but also to establish normal living conditions of soldiers.
Members of the IIC, the people’s deputies Iryna Herashchenko, Lidiia Koteliak, Oleksii Kaida and Andrii Illienko discussed this issue with representatives of the Armed Forces and the National Guard in the course of visiting the ATO zone. Representatives of the Commission visited the special camp of the National Guard and the Armed Forces near Sloviansk and inspected the work of a military hospital and the way soldiers are provided with clothes, footwear and ammunition.
According to the head of the IIC, Iryna Herashchenko, the people’s deputies addressed the Internal Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov and leadership of the Headquarters with a request to provide full information regarding provision of the law-enforcement agencies with protective means and their vision of amendments to legislation.
The people’s deputies have also demonstrated arsenal of weapons of Russian production that was confiscated after liberation of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
