V.Lytvyn expressed gratitude for the OSCE standing regarding Ukraine. “Ukraine
experiences not only support but also practical deeds of the international
community, and the OSCE in particular, directed at reaching peace and supporting
country’s integrity,” he noted. “We are interested in working and expanding the mission in Ukraine, since it is obvious that this is the best scenario that can be implemented. The scenario where there is no bloodshed,” stressed the Committee Chair.
The Parties exchanged their vision concerning establishment of constitutional order in the eastern Ukraine and in general.
V.Lytvyn noted that there are calls in the society to impose the state of emergency. “This is a complicated and possible move that the President of Ukraine realizes. He considers all the challenges that can arise,” he stressed.
The Committee Chair expressed conviction that it is necessary to use a comprehensive approach, i.e. military actions and the negotiation process, as well as solidarity and pressure on the part of the European and international communities.
