The Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis the bill on amendments to the Family Code (re mandatory duty to aliment a child on the part of persons deprived of parental rights)

The bill (Reg. No. 2548) suggests oblige a court to take the decision on allocating alimony simultaneously with the procedure of termination of parental rights.

The document includes a provision under which, in case father, mother, or any other legal representative of a child refuses to receive alimony from a person deprived of parental rights, the court shall decide to transfer alimony to the state budget.
