The bill stipulates that, in case of losing a breadwinner, minimum pension amount of members of military men families shall be not lower than two minimum subsistence wages for persons who have lost working capacity.
The Committee has also recommended the Verkhovna Rada adopt in the second reading and in entirety the draft law “On amendments to article 13 of the Law “On Social and Legal Protection of Military Men and Members of their Families” re granting education privileges for persons whose parents are military men (Reg. No. 2246).
The bill suggests provide persons, whose parent is a military person, a preferential right to enroll to respective military educational establishments, as well as persons whose parent was a military person who died or gone missing when performing military duties – the right to enroll “out of competition, according to personal preference of speciality in state or communal high and professional-technical educational establishments of Ukraine at the state or local budget expenses”.
The Committee took the decision to recommend the Committee on Science and Education prepare the decision on adoption of the bill on amendments to the Law “On Education” (Reg. No. 4889) as a basis and in entirety by the Verkhovna Rada.
Thereat, the specializing Committee is recommended to exclude from the abovementioned bill provisions that duplicate the Law “On amendments to several laws of Ukraine re improvement of defense and mobilization issues during mobilization”, in the course of preparation of this bill for consideration during the plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
