According to the address' text, the Verkhovna Rada asks the abovementioned organizations "to urge Russian mass media to adhere to rules of journalism ethics and profession, and recommend that mass media provide accurate, objective and reliable information".

The Verkhovna Rada also addresses the International Olympic Committee regarding discrediting the Olympic movement expressions and messages of Russian mass media about Ukrainian biathlete, Sochi Olympic Games winner, biathlon world champion Olena Pidhrushna.

The Verkhovna Rada called "to show solidarity with Ukrainian people in protecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity".

Respective draft resolution was registered under No. 4026a.
