Particularly, the Parties discussed the issue of intensifying relations between the countries at the level of GUAM “in order to restore partnership and stability in the region”.
“Today we need an alternative to artificial interstate unions of countries, where one country tries to dominate. We need cooperation on the basis of equal partnership relations,” said Oleksandr Turchynov, adding that in this context he will entrust the Parliamentary Secretariat to prepare a meeting within the framework of GUAM.
In his turn, Asadov Oktay stressed that Ukraine has always been a reliable partner for his country. “We hope that we will further augment the joint cooperation potential,” he said, wishing “Ukraine success and prosperity.”
