The document supplements the existing law by defining the term
‘TV-sale’, specifying general requirements to the advertising, sponsorship of
TV- and radio programmes where names of medicine, medical equipment, methods of
prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation are mentioned, as well as to prohibit TV-sale of the
abovementioned goods and services.

The Law considered the respective requirements of the European Convention on transfrontier television and Audiovisual Media Services Directives.
