The legislative act improves the system of conducting mobilization, conducting measures on partial mobilization in short terms, increasing defense capacity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military units.
The Law, particularly, established that “during the special period, any regulatory legal acts, stipulating downsizing, limiting equipment or financing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military units or special purpose law-enforcement authorities, are terminated”.
The document also:
creates conditions for providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military units with personnel and equipment during mobilization;
ensures prerogative right for military men, called in during mobilization, to remain at the military service;
protects citizens of Ukraine, called in during mobilization, from penal sanctions for financial liabilities, etc.
Amendments are suggested to be made to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements and the Labour Code of Ukraine, the laws “On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization”, “On Military Duty and Military Service”, “On social and legal protection of military men and their family members”, “On foundations of preventing and combating corruption”, “On Higher Education”, “On State Procurement”, and “On pensions for persons discharged from military service, and some others”.
The law was adopted with consideration of amendments.
