The legislative act determines to grant members of families of military men, as well as senior and junior officers that died in the course of performing military service duties (official duties), a pension in connection with the loss of a breadwinner in the amount of 70 per cent of financial support (salary) of the deceased breadwinner.
According to the Law, “if a deceased breadwinner supported two or more members of family, pension is granted in the amount of 90 per cent of financial support (salary) of a deceased breadwinner, which is given to them by equal parts, however, not less that 40 per cent for each member of the family incapable for work.
In such amounts, regardless of reasons for losing a breadwinner, pensions are calculated for family members of deceased disabled veterans, and for family members which include children who lost both parents”.
The bill stipulates also that “persons that were earlier granted pensions in connection with loss of a breadwinner in line with the Law “On pensions for persons discharged from military service and certain other persons” have the right to recalculation of pensions with consideration of provisions of this Law.
If, in case of recalculation in line with the provisions of this law, the amount of pension or its payable part decreases, the pension shall be paid in the previously established amount”.
The respective bill was registered under No. 2124.
