The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities upholds the draft law on amendments to the Law “On State Awards” re introducing the honorary title “City of military glory”

It was mentioned at the May 14 Committee’s meeting that the bill (Reg. No. 3506) suggests determine legal basis of awarding cities of Ukraine with the honorary title of Ukraine “City of military glory”, on the territory of which or in close vicinity of which fierce battles of defenders of our Homeland with German fascist invaders took place. In connection with this it is suggested to amend the Law “On State Awards of Ukraine”.

According to the bill’s author, its adoption will allow put the historical record straight.
