Rada of Ukraine, Acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov participated in
the ceremony on the occasion of the 69th
anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Warriors of the Honor Guard
solemnly marched and saluted with personal
weapons.

Along with the Acting President, the fallen warriors were honored with a moment of silence by Presidents of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk, Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yushchenko; Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk; Head of Kyiv City State Administration Volodymyr Bondarenko; Head of Kyiv Oblast State Administration Volodymyr Shandra; Acting Head of the Presidential Administration Serhiy Pashynskyi; veterans; members of the Cabinet of Ministers; people’s deputies; clergy and members of the public.
Oleksandr Turchynov laid flowers to the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Park of Eternal Glory.
Military orchestra performed the State Anthem of Ukraine.
