Committee members noted that the bill (Reg. No. 4312) aims to secure public order and safety in Kyiv; legislatively settle the issue of participation of the public in protection of public order; and assist bodies of local self-government, law-enforcement bodies and bodies of executive power in the capital of Ukraine in stopping administrative violations and crimes and protecting citizens’ life and health, as well as interests of the society and the state against unlawful encroachments.
Committee members deem that adoption of the resolution will allow take measures to alleviate tension in the society and prevent further escalation of conflict in Ukraine.
