Citizens addressed the Parliament concerning 18 235 issues, among them 43,3% concern issues on ensuring compliance with the law, and law enforcement, implementation of civil rights and freedoms; 14,2% - on activity of the Verkhovna Rada, the President and the Cabinet of Ministers; 10,3% - on social protection; 4,4% - on financial, tax and customs policy; 4,1% - on health care; 4% - on labour and salary; 3,1% - on communal housing.
During the period of January–March, 2014, 892 people with disabilities of I-III categories; 720 children of war; 407 children with disabilities; 386 veterans of labour; 249 disabled veterans; 168 disabled participants of the Great Patriotic War; 143 people affected of the Chornobyl disaster; 88 participants of military actions; 88 large families; 79 war participants; 73 liquidators of the Chornobyl disaster; 34 single mothers; 26 mother heroines; 11 Heroes of Ukraine addressed the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a request for protection and assistance.
According to information provided by secretariats of deputies’ factions in the Verkhovna Rada, since the beginning of 2014, 67 334 voters addressed people’s deputies of the seventh convocation and their assistants-consultants in election constituencies; 22 958 written applications were considered; 4 395 personal appointments and 4 851 meetings with voters were conducted.
