The Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law “On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine” (re responsibility for crimes against the fundamentals of Ukraine’s national security)

The law increases terms of imprisonment for commitment of the most violent crimes against the fundamentals of Ukraine’s national security.

The respective amendments are made to articles 110, 111, 113, 114 and 279 of the Criminal Code.

The law supplements Criminal Code with a new article 114-1 by imposing responsibility for hindering legal activity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military units, established under the applicable law, in the special period.

The respective bill was registered under No. 4524-1.
