I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of the 22d anniversary of the Security Service of Ukraine!
Our Homeland today faces severe tests that threaten its existence as an independent and democratic state. Under these complicated conditions extremely increases the role of the Security Service of Ukraine as a law-enforcement body of special purpose that guards sovereignty of our state.
In the eyes of millions of our compatriots maintenance of national safety, protection of territorial integrity and defense capacity of the Ukrainian state, efficient counteraction to criminality and separatism, implementation of anti-corruption activities and establishing order in the streets at the current stage is possible only under the condition of your selfless and honest service to the Ukrainian people, high professionalism and ability to self-sacrifice.
I am convinced that compelling stand of each employee of the Security Service, as a person with a sense of civil duty and patriotism, will help our country overcome all difficulties and take its decent stand under the peaceful sky of free Europe.
