Acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov demands to release Commander of the Belbek military unit colonel Yulii Mamchur and to stop provocations on the part of the Russian Federation Armed Forces.
According to Oleksandr Turchynov, occupational contingent of the Russian Federation, residing now in the Crimea, continues provoking, blackmailing, intimidating and kidnapping Ukrainian citizens and military men serving on the territory of the peninsula.
“Tonight a real officer, a patriot colonel Yu.Mamchur was kidnapped”, he said stressing that the Ukrainian government demands to immediately release the colonel and stop provocations and attempts to seize Ukrainian military units.
“We demand to stop aggression against Ukraine and our citizens”, he claimed.
In connection with repeated kidnapping of Ukrainian military men, which happened after previous release of hostages, Oleksandr Turchynov ordered respective services to start a complex of measures for appropriate reactions.
