On Friday, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov had a telephone conversation with Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs William Hague.
The Parties discussed general situation in Ukraine and drew their attention to the developments happening in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
“We are renewing cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and other international institutions that will help us stabilize the situation in the country soon,” claimed Oleksandr Turchynov.
“Speaking about the situation in Crimea, Oleksandr Turchynov called actions of the Russian Federation on the peninsula nothing else but “aggression against a sovereign state.”
In his turn, William Hague expressed respect to the new government of Ukraine, and informed about readiness of the Great Britain to help in the process of implementing reforms in our country.
“I want to confirm our readiness to help Ukraine in every way,” said William Hague.
“We are also concerned with the situation in Crimea, and we are ready to support Ukraine’s stand in the UN Security Council,” said the Secretary, expressing hope for fruitful cooperation during his visit to Kyiv, planned for next Monday.
