The bill (Reg. No. 4157) was elaborated in connection with the change of
separate constitutional provisions concerning formation and activity of the
central bodies of executive power and other state bodies. The bill stipulates making amendments to several legislative acts, particularly, the laws “On the status of war veterans and guarantees of their social protection” and “On rehabilitation of the disabled of Ukraine” that are under the jurisdiction of the Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities.
The abovementioned amendments stipulate that the Ministry of Social Policy and the State Service for disabled and veterans of Ukraine have to exercise their authorities on the basis of the laws of Ukraine and regulatory legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (previously such authorities were determined by the laws of Ukraine and administrative documents of the President of Ukraine), which will correspond to the applicable version of the Constitution of Ukraine.
