Chairman of the Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden Per Westerberg congratulated Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on his appointment to the post of the Chairman of the Parliament.
I the letter addressed to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Per Westerberg claims that during last months “the world witnessed dramatic developments in Ukraine,” and expresses hope that “the future will become the time of peace and democracy.”
The letter reads that the national Parliament which “is a fundamental basis of any country with the parliamentary democracy,” plays a significant role “both in the period of war and in the period of instability.”
Per Westerberg congratulated Oleksandr Turchynov on his appointment to the post, and wished him success in his important work.
