The Law is aimed at cancelling several privileges and guarantees of people’s deputies of Ukraine.
Particularly, the Law excludes provisions of the current law on: including to a general and unbroken service record of the time when a former people’s deputy temporarily did not work in connection with the impossibility of providing him with previous or equivalent work (chapter 3 of article 20 of the Law); payment of financial assistance for the period of employment (chapter 5 of article 20 of the Law); payment of financial assistance for health care in the amount of a double monthly salary (amendments to chapter 8 of article 20 of the Law); in case of retirement, payment of financial assistance in the amount of twelve official monthly salaries of a working people’s deputy (chapter 12 of article 20 of the Law); free vouchers for sanatorium and resort treatment (chapter 7 of article 33 of the Law). Besides, the draft stipulates cancellation of: privileges for health care of people’s deputies, whose term of powers has ended (amendments to chapter 13 of article 20); the right to a priority check-in into hotels (article 22); the right to free parking of a car, free carriage of hand luggage, free parking place on the parking lots of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, free usage of official delegations halls (chapters 4-7 of article 23), and some other novelties.
