Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,
the acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has mandated to establish a
working group for “immediate elaboration of a new Law of Ukraine “On
Language”.
The specialized committee jointly with linguists, philologists and
experts on social issues were entrusted to establish the working group
responsible for elaboration of the respective law.

He said this during the meeting with the First December Initiative Group on Thursday.

responsible for elaboration of the respective law.According to him, such a bill should be elaborated immediately “in view of speculations around this issue.”
“The new Law “On Language” that should be elaborated immediately, unlike the previous one will be a well-balanced,” said Oleksandr Turchynov.
“Interests of both West and East of Ukraine, as well as that of ethnic groups and national minorities will be considered,” summed the Chairman of the Parliament.
