Today mothers came to the Verkhovna Rada with portraits of the deceased in crown of thorns to commemorate the Heavenly Hundred.
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov and leader of “Batkivshchyna” faction Arsenii Yatseniuk talked with the mothers.
Oleksandr Turchynov invited the mothers to the Parliament in order to create a passage with the portraits of the Heavenly Hundred.
One of the women said that the portraits will stay in the Parliament for 40 days.
“Now there is a corridor of mothers’ pain in the Verkhovna Rada. This will be a reminder to all about inadmissibility of violence,” said Oleksandr Turchynov, stressing that politicians and civil society has to apply all efforts for such situation not to happen again.
