Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate you on the 70th liberation anniversary of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi from fascist invaders.
The Great Patriotic War will for ever remain the dark page in the history of your town. The hard time of occupation, fierce fighting, pain and loss of near and dear ones will never be forgotten by those who had to live through these troubled years.
We keep remembering the price that was paid for the today’s peace, for the possibility to live, bear and raise children that was given to the future generations.
Hundreds of soldiers and officers were awarded with orders and medals and around one hundred of soldiers were awarded with the Title of Hero of the Soviet Union for the historic victory in the Korsun-Shevchenkivska fight.
Let us be worthy of the military and labour deed of our parents! Let us do our best so that our native land could flourish and become more picturesque and prospering. May the sky over Cherkasy region always be peaceful, may the fields always fertile and may there always be children’s laughter, since this is our future, which, I am convinced, will be happy!
