Particularly, it is planned to elaborate the bill on restoration of rights of persons deported on ethnic grounds (Reg. No. 0921) for the second reading.
The bill on amendments to the Law “On Citizenship of Ukraine” (re eliminating conflicts allowing dual citizenship) (Reg. No. 0919) will be prepared for the second reading.
In order to monitor the implementation of laws, resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Committee’s own decisions, it plans to consider the issues on status of implementation of the Law “On unified state register of demographics and documents confirming the citizenship of Ukraine, proving persons’ identity or their special status”, on the practice in the application of the Law “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights” re national preventive mechanism, on the status of implementing Recommendations of the parliamentary hearings entitled “Ukrainian labour migration: status, problems and ways to solve them.”
The Committee also plans to prepare and hold hearings entitled “On legal regulation of the status of persons forcibly resettled from the territory of the People's Republic of Poland to the territory of the USSR in the years 1944-1951, and restoration of their rights,” and a round table discussion “Rehabilitation of persons who have suffered repressions on ethnic grounds when applying to them the principle of collective responsibility.” The representatives of the Committee also plan to visit numerous events.
