Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak initiates holding a round table with participation of political forces representatives for developing ways out of the current situation.
During the meeting with the President of the PA OSCE, Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapic, Volodymyr Rybak informed about current political situation in Ukraine, having noted that he suggested convene a round table today with participation of representatives of parliamentary factions for the politicians to “determine all issues and differences, listen to one another and calm down people.” “People should work, politicians should suggest ways out of the problem,” he stressed.
The Chairman of the Parliament stressed unacceptability of using violence against people who conduct peaceful assemblies. Volodymyr Rybak informed that President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych instructed to conduct a thorough investigation of such incidents. He added that he, as the Chairman of the Parliament addressed the General Prosecutor’s Office with a request to inform the people’s deputies about the results of investigation as soon as possible. “The guilty must be punished according to the legislation,” he claimed.
Volodymyr Rybak noted that capturing administrative buildings and their blocking is a violation of law and all the political forces should realize this.
In his turn, Ranko Krivokapic noted the success of the Chairmanship of Ukraine in OSCE, as well as an active role of the Standing Ukrainian delegation to the PA OSCE.
According to him, OSCE and its Parliamentary Assembly is an important forum for exchanging thoughts and mutual help to reach success on the way of democratic changes.
