The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation upholds the draft law “On amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re strengthening responsibility for violation of waste management requirements”

The bill (Reg. No. 3236) was elaborated “in order to bring several provisions of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements in line with the Law “On Waste” and to introduce adequate responsibility for violations in the sphere of waste management and prevent them; increase amount of household waste sent for recycling; and decrease negative impact of excrements of domestic animals on the land improvement facilities.”

It is suggested supplement the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements with new article 152-1.

Implementation of bill’s provisions will allow increase the state of the rule of law in the sphere of waste management and community redevelopment, etc.
