The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine (re unified principle of pension accrual)

The bill (Reg. No. 3511) suggests amend article 20 of the Law ‘On the status of the people’s deputy of Ukraine’ and article 58 of the Law ‘On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine’ establishing that pension provision of the people’s deputies of Ukraine and ex-members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is made on general basis and in order determined by the Law ‘On Mandatory State Social Insurance.’

It is also suggested to give the right to the Cabinet of Ministers to determine the amount of pension of a retired judge.

Moreover, the draft law suggests refer the President of Ukraine, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the people’s deputies of Ukraine to the insured persons and establish that amount of their pension is determined exclusively by the Law ‘On Mandatory State Social Insurance.’

It is suggested to establish that the legislative act will come into force on July 1, 2014.
