The Committee on Judicial Policy recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 267 of the Civil Code of Ukraine (re clarifying reasons for reviving a statute of limitations)

The bill (Reg. No. 2610a) is aimed at eliminating indefiniteness of reasons for reviving a statute of limitations.
It is suggested to introduce a new version of chapter five of article 267 of the Civil Code of Ukraine.
The Committee claims the proposal of the subject of legislative initiative is proper. The drawbacks of the bill can be eliminated during its refinement for the second hearing. Particularly, the provisions of article 2 of the Civil Code should be taken into account.
