Committee members granted a hearing to information provided by the Ministry of Social Policy and other central bodies of executive power, as well as the Joint Representative Body of the all-Ukrainian Trade Unions at national level.
The people’s deputies noted presence of a long-term negative practice of non-fulfillment of several provisions of the laws of Ukraine that regulate the issue of indexation of citizens’ cash income and citizens’ compensation for the loss of a part of income in connection with violation of the date of disbursement.
Following the result of inspections over violation of legislation in the part of labour remuneration, the respective measures of administrative influence were taken in regard to chairmen of enterprises.
Following the results of discussion, the Committee took the decision to recommend the Verkhovna Rada accelerate consideration of the draft law on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re imposing a fine in case of non-payment of a salary, scholarship, pension or other payment established by the law, or its delay (Reg. No. 2547) in the second reading.
Respective recommendations were given to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Government.
