The meeting was held with participation of the State Commission for Regulation of Financial Services Markets of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, the Antimonopoly Committee, the League of Insurance Organizations, the Ukrainian Insurance Federation, Federations, the Association “Insurance Business”, the Federation of Insurance Intermediaries, the Agrarian and Nuclear insurance pools, representatives of systemically important insurance companies.
The bill (Reg. No. 0965), that was adopted as a basis by the Verkhovna Rada on May 22, 2012, was prepared for the second reading by a specialized group.
It was stressed that the main problem of future development of insurance market is the outdated legislative basis.
The draft law on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine and a new version of the Law “On Insurance” (Reg. No. 0965) are the main promising areas of work of insurance sector and insurance market.
The bill settles most of the problems of the insurance market.
