The Committee for Informatization and Information Technologies upholds the draft law on amendments to article 6 of the Law “On the State Budget for 2013” (re funding the implementation of international projects “Tsyklon-4” and formation of the National Satellite Communications System)

The aim of the bill (Reg. No. 3175) lies in funding the implementation of international commitments of Ukraine under the Agreement between Ukraine and the Federative Republic of Brazil on long term cooperation regarding the exploitation of missile vehicle “Tsyklon-4” and the Alcantara Launch Center and under the credit agreement of December 15, 2009 between State enterprise “Ukrkosmos” and the Canadian export agency.

The Chairman of the Committee Valerii Omelchenko claimed that formation of the National Satellite Communications System is one of the priorities of the “National target science and technical space program for 2013-2017”. He added that adoption of the bill will promote development of the space industry.

The Committee decided to uphold the bill taking into account its political and social value.
