The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 12 of the Law “On Environmental Audit” (re objects of increased environmental hazards)

The bill (Reg. No. 2053a) suggests establish environmental audit in case of liquidation or shut down of enterprises conducting environmentally hazardous activity.

The bill specifies general principles of holding environmental audit of objects of increased environmental hazards and determines peculiarities of exercising state monitoring (control) in the sphere of mandatory environmental audit.
