The bill suggests determine legal basis of the organization and activity of the Probation Service, its tasks, functions and powers, basic principles of social and educational work with people who committed crimes of little and average gravity and supervision over them.
The bill particularly suggests introduce three types of probation: prejudicial, supervisory and penitentiary.
The respective amendments are suggested to be made to the Criminal Code.
It is suggested to change words “penitentiary inspection” for “probation bodies” in different cases in the Penal Execution Code, the laws “On the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine” and “On the Strength of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine”.
