The bill (Reg. No. 2574a) aims at protecting rights and legal interests of natural persons that are not subjects of economic activity and are involved in credit relations as borrowers and mortgagors (property surety providers). It is suggested supplement article 1057-1 of the Civil Code of Ukraine with new part six, under which provisions of part second-fifth shall be applied only in case a borrower or mortgagor (property surety provider) is a legal person or a sole proprietor.
It was noted that the Committee referred the bill for refinement to the National Bank and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, who made significant remarks to the bill. The National Bank deems the bill to be inappropriate and recommends reject it.
