The bill (Reg. No. 3059) aims at improving legal regulation of water relations pertaining to maintenance of free citizens’ access to coastal water bodies for general water use. The respective amendments are to be made to the water Code, to the Land Code, to the Code of Ukraine on administrative Infringements and to the laws “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine” and “On Local State Administrations”.
Amendments to the Land Code shall prohibit installation of fences or other structures that prevent citizens’ access to coastal water bodies.
The bill establishes administrative responsibility for unlawful limitation of citizens’ free access to coastal water bodies for general water use.
It is also stipulated extend authorities of local self-government and local bodies of executive power in regard to maintaining free citizens’ access to coastal water bodies for general water use.
