The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism supports the bill on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine in connection with the ratification of Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse

The bill (Reg. No. 2472a) suggests amend the Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and also the Law “On Protection of Childhood”, “On Protection of Public Morality” on assigning responsibility for crimes connected with sexual exploitation of children.

The Committee members, having supported the bill, claimed that in preparation for the second reading the document has to be supplemented with the provisions, particularly, on determining the peculiarities of confrontment involving children and identity parade.
