Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate Ukrainian sportsmen, coaches, judges, sport organizers and all fans and supporters of a healthy life style on the occasion of a great holiday – the Day of Physical Culture and Sport.
Today, we honour great daughters and sons of Ukrainian people that glorified the state on international arenas and who, due to their will, devotion and patriotism became an exemplar for all citizens.
Rich traditions of the national sport began in 1913 in Kyiv during the First Russian Olympiad and continued in brilliant performances of our athletes during Olympic and Paralympic Games and other most prestigious competitions. These victories unite the society, become a decent example for our youth and children and enhance formation of a healthy life style among population.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has always supported and will further support physical training and sport by refining legislation and increasing budgetary funding.
I wish you all sound health, happiness, inexhaustible energy, success in all your undertakings and new achievements for the glory of Ukraine!
