The Parties discussed issues concerning Ukraine’s European integration, plans of the Committee’s work, prospects of signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the context of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius this year in November.
The Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland supported European integration aspirations of our country and stressed the necessity of timely fulfillment of the EU criteria, outlined in the conclusions of the European Council (10/12/12) regarding the issues of politically motivated prosecution, reformation of the electoral legislation and the system of law enforcement.
“We hope that the Ukrainian Party will demonstrate actual results in due time and the Agreement will be signed during the Summit in Vilnius,” stressed Simon Smith.
H.Nemyrya informed S.Smith on the course of adopting the European integration laws by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
