The Committee on Science and Education recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill on amendments to the Law “On Education” (re abolition of involuntary service by graduates of higher educational institutions)

The bill (Reg. No. 2678) suggests bringing current legislation in correspondence with the requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine. Particularly, article 53 of the Main Law states that the state provides accessible and free higher education in state and communal educational institutions. According to article 43 of the Constitution of Ukraine, every person has a right to work, including the possibility to earn for a living by work which he/sho freely chooses or to which they voluntary agree.

During the discussion, attention was drawn to the fact that the use of forced labor is prohibited.
