The Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy recommends that Parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law “On amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine re canceling certain tax remissions”

The bill (Reg. No. 2473a) suggests excluding clauses 197.14 and 197.16 of article 197 of the Customs Code of Ukraine that exempt from taxation on value added tax on for transactions of import into the customs territory of Ukraine.

The explanatory memorandum to the bill states that the aforesaid tax remissions result in "unreasonable budget losses and encouraging foreign manufacturers”.
