The bill (Reg. No. 1076) suggests determining status and legislative basis for creation and functioning, principles, tasks, procedure of formation of regulatory bodies and peculiarities of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (DTRK) activity. The respective amendments are suggested to the range of laws of Ukraine on television and radio broadcasting.
According to the bill, the DTRK activity is conducted on the basis of: comprehensive and objective information of society; adherence to social norms, traditions and culture of the Ukrainian people; clear separation of facts from comments and evaluations; free expression of views, opinions and beliefs; independence from the state authorities, local self-government, their officials, businesses, institutions, organizations, individuals; public participation in the management and program policy formation.
